Lupita Nyong'o, Meryl Streep & Amy Adams Dance To 'Happy' With Pharrell Williams
Pharrell Williams took to the Oscar stage on Sunday night to perform his nominated song, “Happy” from hit animated movie Despicable Me 2, and danced down towards the audience to shake it with a trio of nominated actresses.
Pharell Williams Dances With Oscar Nominees
Williams, who completed his outfit with a black version of the oversized hat he debuted at the Grammys, wanted to get the star-studded audience involved in his Oscar performance. Descending the stage, he got Lupita Nyong’o, Meryl Streep and Amy Adams to bust out a quick move with him before sitting back down in their seats.
Though Williams’ upbeat song was a sure crowd favorite, “Happy” lost out to “Let It Go” from Frozen in the Best Original Song category. Idina Menzel performed the song, written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, later on in the night.
